What is AMS 5566 Tubing ?
AMS 5566 tubing, just as the name suggests, is stainless steel tubing manufactured to Aerospace Material Specifications requirements, more specifically, used in aerospace, automotive, and other high end industries. This specification generally applies to welded tubing manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless steel, mainly in grade 304 or 304L. AMS 5566 tubing is characterized by high resistance to oxidation, corrosion and abrasive wear so a suitable tubing for aggressive atmospheres such as aerospace, automotive, and chemical industries.
The tubing is appreciated for its excellent mechanical properties such as high strength, good formability, and corrosion resistance to acids, salts, and high and low temperatures.
