What is ASTM A269 TP304L?

ASTM A269 TP304L is a standard for the low carbon version of the 304 grade ss material. They are intended for general corrosion resisting applications due to the presence of high chromium and nickel content. The material shows high strength and thus, they are capable of resisting high mechanical stress.

ASTM A269 TP304L Tube shows good resistance to high temperature and pressure too. The lower carbon content makes it more resistant to sensitization which is a condition that can occur during welding. Herein, carbides can form and reduce the corrosion resistance properties of the material. The OD of the ASME SA 269 304L Coil Tubing ranges from 1/8" to 5" and wall thicknesses are between 0.015" to 0.320".
