What is ASTM A511 Seamless Stainless Steel Tubing ?
The ASTM A511 Seamless Stainless Steel Tubing deals with the dimensions, manufacture, chemical composition, mechanical properties and other relevant characteristics of seamless stainless steel tubes mainly intended for mechanical and structural use. These tubes are resistant and strong and can be used by industries such as automobile, aviation, construction and mechanical engineering.
The tubing is made without weld and thus has a smooth, seamless structure with higher pressure and mechanical strength than welded tubes. The material grades have had inherent corrosion resistance which is-played through ASTM A511 with more focus on mechanical properties including tensile strength, yield strength and hardness than corrosion resistance.
General applications for ASTM A511 tubing include hydraulic applications, pressure applications, mechanical purposes and structural applications where tubes experience fluctuating loads.
