What is Incoloy 800H tube?
Incoloy 800H tubes are available with dual certification. The Incoloy 800H Tube can is a controlled composition derivative of the Incoloy 800 alloy. They are often offered as one as they both meet the chemical composition requirements of both alloys. The applications of Incoloy 800H Seamless Tubes can be found in petrochemical processing reformer tubing, refinery services, etc. They are also used in superheater and reheater tubing, along with other high temperature applications.
The Alloy 800H Condenser Tubes can effectively resist oxidation, carburization, sulphur containing atmosphere and different types of corrosions taking place at high temperatures. They possess good strength at high temperatures and creep rupture strength.
Difference between pickling and annealing of Incoloy 800HT tube
The difference between pickling and annealing of Nickel Alloy 800HT Coiled Tubing solution lies in their processing. The pickling process helps to remove superficial impurities from the metal by targeting it in an acidic solution. The tubes are submerged in a pickled liquid which erodes away any oxides or impurities on the metal surface. Picking gives a bright oxide free surface that is ready for subsequent processes.
Annealing the Incoloy 800HT Tubes helps to increase the softness and ductility of the metal. It prevents the material from becoming brittle and enhances its formability. It can eliminate residual stress, brittleness and several other mechanical complications to make the material ready for further shaping.

ASTM B407 UNS N08811 vs ASME SB 407 N08810 material
ASTM B407 UNS N08811 Seamless Tubes or Incoloy 800HT has higher carbon content than N08810. This helps to enhance its high temperature strength. The lower carbon content UNS N08810 enhances its creep and stress rupture properties.
N08811 is used in heat exchangers, furnace components and other elevated temperature applications. ASME SB 407 N08810 Material or Incoloy 800 shows good resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation at elevated temperatures. Thus, they are found in nuclear power plants for generator tubing.
