What is stainless steel hydraulic tubing?
The Hydraulic Tubing helps to connect an array of hydraulic systems and they enable a smooth passage for fluids and gases. The Stainless Steel Hydraulic Tubing comes with enhanced strength and they show good resistance to various corrosive media. These industrial tubes are very reliable and come with high workability and durability. They have a good service life and can last for several years.
The EN 1.4306 Solution Anneal Hydraulic Tubings are available in both seamless and welded configurations. The seamless ones possess higher strength and offer better leakage proofing whereas the welded tubes more affordable and available in longer continuous lengths. The SS Hydraulic Tubing comes with easy installation and is a cost-effective solution.
Difference between cold drawn and annealed seamless SS hydraulic tubing
The cold drawn SS Hydraulic Tubing is processed at room temperature whereas annealing can be performed on cold drawn tubes. Herein a heat treatment is done on the cold drawn tubing by heating it to an appropriate temperature and then they are kept for a certain time. It is then slowly cooled.
The cold drawing procedure enhances the tensile strength of SS Hydraulic Pipes. The annealing process softens the tube to enhance their bendability, formability, etc.

304 vs 316 stainless steel honed tube
The primary difference between the two grades is in their chemical composition. Due to the added molybdenum in 316 SS Honed Tube materials, it comes with more corrosion resistance and is more expensive. They are also more resistant to pitting in salt environments and other types of corrosion.
316 grade material can be a good choice for the marine applications. They also offer excellent rust resistance in different chloride and acidic solutions. 316 also shows better performance in temperatures above 843 ℃ and below 454 ℃. However, if your application requires moderate corrosion resistance, the SS 304 Hydraulic Honed Tubes are preferred as it is more economical.
